Hello Rising Sun! I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten at RSES. It is so great to be back where I was once a student and where I was inspired to become an educator.
I graduated from Towson University with a dual degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I began teaching for CCPS in 2018 and have taught first, second, and third grade. In my free time I like to spend time with my family and play with my dogs! During the summer, I love to spend time at the pool or at the beach!

Mrs. Amy Dolan
I am so excited for another year of teaching kindergarten at RSES. I have taught for many years, many different grade levels and I keep coming back to kindergarten because it is my favorite. I love watching my kindergarten friends learn and grow both academically and socially.
I live in Colora with my husband and my two children. My son will be finishing up a marketing degree this year at Wilmington University and my daughter will be starting a program at Delaware Technical College to become a dental hygienist.
I love spending time with my family, traveling, reading and singing with my chorus. I am looking forward to my 20th year of teaching for CCPS.

Mrs. Amy Klusak
Hello, Rising Sun! My name is Mrs. Klusak and I am so excited for another wonderful school year! I attended Towson University and received
a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in reading. This will be my 17th year teaching at Rising Sun Elementary. I was a first
grade teacher for twelve years, a reading and math intervention teacher for one year, and this will be my fourth year teaching kindergarten!
I live in Harford County with my husband, our three sons, and our two puppies, Rosie and Remi! My oldest son, Parker, will be in seventh
grade this year. My middle son, Camden, is going into fourth grade and my youngest son, Weston, is starting first grade this year. My students
will hear many stories about Mr. Klusak, my boys, and our puppies! We enjoy spending time with friends and family, going fishing, having
bonfires, watching movies, and trips to the beach.
I love the first days of school and getting to know our class and their families. I am looking forward to an amazing year in kindergarten filled
with learning, growing, and lots of fun!

Mrs. Laura Matthai
Hello Rising Sun Families! I have been teaching at Rising Sun Elementary School since 2002. During my time at RSES I
have taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware and my
Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Wilmington University. I was born and raised in Delaware but now live in Cecil
County with my husband and 3 sons. My boys keep me very busy!
When I am not teaching you can most likely find me on a soccer field, walking the golf course, or enjoying a good book. I am
