Mrs. Jennifer Aro
Hello! This is my 12th year teaching at RSES and my second year specializing in math. I love teaching because I get to spend my day helping students set and achieve goals higher than they ever thought possible! On a personal note, I have been married for 22 years and have two amazing children! My son is pursuing a degree in Operations Research at the U.S. Naval Academy. My daughter is studying sociology at BMCC and aspires to one day impact the development of children living in Manhattan. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, biking, and spending time at the beach with my family. My favorite color is purple. Go Orioles! Go Ravens!

Mrs. Amy Berczik
I have been teaching at Rising Sun Elementary School since 1994. I have taught third grade and kindergarten. I’m excited to work with 2nd graders this year! I am a graduate of Rising Sun High School, Towson University and McDaniel College. I have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
I live in Colora with my husband and my two sons. We enjoy traveling to Tennessee, going to concerts, and spending time with our dogs.

Mrs. Jen Eckman
Hi everyone! I started teaching at Rising Sun Elementary in 2005. Prior to that I had taught for 8 years at Thomson Estates Elementary School and 1 year in Little Britain, Pennsylvania.
I live in Rising Sun with my husband Mike and my son Jake. I'm blessed that my other family members live close by and we spend a lot of time together.
Some of our favorite things to do are go to the beach, NASCAR races (Go #19!), root for the O's and Ravens, and visit Walt Disney World. I'm looking forward to a great year ahead!

Hello Families! I am excited to begin the 2025/2026 school year. Here is a little bit about me! I started my teaching career in 1997
in Charlotte, NC, and my RSES teaching career in 2002. I attended Lock Haven University for undergrad and received my Master's
Degree from McDaniel College. I am married and have 2 boys. My oldest son Collin is a landscaper and my youngest son Kyle will be
a Junior at Albright College. Since I grew up just outside of Philadelphia, I am a fan of the Eagles, Flyers, Sixers, and Phillies!! Here
are a few of my favorite things...
Colors... turquoise and lime green Beverages... coffee, water Snacks... Pretty much anything salty!!!! I do love Starbursts
though!!! I look forward to a wonderful school year!!!
