Mrs. Michelle Cox
Hello, I am Michelle Cox, and I will be teaching 1st grade Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies this year. This is my second
year at Rising Sun Elementary School. My previous teaching experience includes school districts in Texas, Missouri, and
Virginia. I have a wonderful family made up of an adult son and daughter, my husband who is an Army veteran of 30 years, and a
variety of animals. I look forward to collaborating with you and your child to help them become successful students.

Mrs. Laura Marlin
Hello! My name is Laura Marlin, and I am so excited to be teaching 1st grade at Rising Sun Elementary this year! I live in Cecil County with my husband, Mr. Marlin, and our two adorable dogs, Bean and Lilly, who always keep us entertained. I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Wilmington University and am passionate about creating a positive, engaging classroom where every child feels valued, supported, and excited to learn.

Miss Caroline Miller
Hello Rising Sun Families! I am very excited to join the first grade teaching team as I enter my first year of teaching! I received my
degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Delaware, and I graduated high school from the Tome School.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine since elementary school; my mom and aunts are all in the education system, so you
could say that a love for teaching runs in my family! I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my dogs, Pete and Dakota. I
am very excited for this upcoming school year!

Mrs. Kelly Pulaski
Hello Rising Sun families! I’m excited for another great year in first grade at RSES!
A little bit about me…I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University in North Carolina, and I’m also a proud graduate of Rising Sun High School! Teaching has always been my dream job, and I love creating a classroom where students feel supported, safe, and excited to learn. When I’m not at school I enjoy spending time with my family. Mr. Pulaski is a kindergarten teacher at Cecil Manor Elementary, and our son Camden will be in kindergarten this year. I also have two dogs named Kobe and Ryder. Most weekends you will find me on the sidelines of a baseball or soccer field cheering Camden on, but I also love coaching and playing field hockey and spending time at Deep
Creek Lake with my family. I can’t wait for a fantastic and fun school year!
