Last year we experienced a lot of change with a new main entrance and several new employees.  I'm looking forward to another year at RSES and continuing our work towards excellence.  This year, we look to continue to grow our connection with families and the community.  Our staff will be working towards inspiring and empowering students to set goals for their academic and behavioral growth.  We will work to instill a growth mindset in our students and can't wait to celebrate their achievements.   It's going to be a great school year!  

This will be my 24th year with CCPS.  I began as a special educator and then a third-grade teacher at Holly Hall Elementary.  I have also served CCPS as an Instructional Support Teacher at Chesapeake City Elementary, and a Title I Resource Teacher at North East Elementary.  I served Thomson Estates Elementary as an Assistant Principal for two years, followed by six years as the Assistant Principal at Rising Sun Elementary, and four years as the Principal at Chesapeake City Elementary.   This will be my second year as the Principal at Rising Sun Elementary. Go Tigers!

When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  My husband and I are both CCPS graduates and grew up in the Cecil County. We enjoy spending time at the beach and the mountains as well as attending Orioles games, let's go O's!  We have two bossy miniature dachshunds and a lab that keep us busy as well.
