Mrs. Lisa Gonzalez

My name is Mrs. Lisa Gonzalez and I am truly honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Rising Sun Elementary School. With 17 years of experience in education—11 of those spent at Thomson Estates Elementary School—I’ve had the privilege of working as both a classroom teacher and a community school advisor. These roles have deepened my passion for supporting students, families, and staff in creating a thriving school environment.

Outside of school, I’m a proud parent of two wonderful children—my daughter is heading into 8th grade, and my son will be starting 6th grade. When we’re not busy with school activities, you can usually find us on the softball fields or basketball courts, cheering each other on and enjoying time together as a family.

I am excited to join the Rising Sun Elementary team and look forward to a fantastic school year filled with learning, growth, and community spirit. I can’t wait to meet all of you and work together to make this year a great one!
